Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.
Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.
A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated over $28 million to the ASPCA and through Subaru Loves Pets has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption, and well-being of over 230,000 animals across the country.
Subaru and our retailers are committed to protecting and preserving the Earth, not just by our words, but also by our actions.
Since 2018, as part of the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Subaru and retailers across the country have partnered with TerraCycle® and have collected over 7 million pieces of hard-to-recycle trash from their communities. Items such as snack bag wrappers, coffee cups, or used cabin air filters from service areas have been diverted from landfills and given a second life by TerraCycle when it is converted into durable furniture and other usable items.
It's our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
Since 2015 Subaru, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement Science, donated over 369,000 award-winning science books. In addition, through our partnerships with Staples and Adoptaclassroom.org we supported teachers and students with donations of $400,000 in gift cards and school supplies.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.
Subaru and Garber Subaru Rochester believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.

Garber Subaru has brought so many smiles to EIMS in these recent months! In the summer, we were asked to select some deserving teachers to be apart of the Adopt A Class program. Each teacher received money to be used to purchase new items for their classroom. It was so wonderful to see these teachers so excited for new classroom items! Before school started in the Fall, Joel and Heather came to the school to meet with me. They asked for ideas on how Garber Subaru could help more at our school. I suggested a few ideas on something around the holidays. We came up with the idea that the principal would select 5 deserving students to receive their top holiday wish list item. Just a few days ago, the amazing people at Garber came through and delivered the gifts to the 5 students...even putting together some of the gifts too! From all the teachers, staff and students at East Irondequoit Middle School -thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!

The Center for Youth and its dedicated staff and volunteers remain steadfast in delivering high quality services and programs to young people throughout Monroe County who are facing homelessness, despair, unstable housing and insecure healthy food sources but we can't do it alone. That's where Subaru Share the Love comes in. We are faced with serving youth in homeless shelters on our own; all other youth shelters closed in the past two years. And so our youth who are older and in independent living are often left out, refused housing and forced to stay on the street. The Center's funds are stretched and the supplemental needs are essential. As a young man on the streets was turned away from all other places, The Center was able to bring the youth into shelter, get him re-enrolled at MCC, connected to a workforce program and a position as a youth leader. The supplemental funds made it possible. The partnership truly saved a life. This young man has completed his two year degree, he is strong and healthy and headed to a 4 year university. He knows that his path could have taken a much different direction and he also knows that without the commitment, energy, love and promise of the Subaru community, he might not have a bright and promising future. That's where the Share the Love Promise really matters. Just as this young man will face a smoother path down the road, so too will dozens of other young people without resources and family connections. And so during this season of hope, we thank Subaru and we pledge to be excellent stewards of the support. We send all gratitude The Center for Youth staff

Our Subaru partner hosted an adoption event for our rescue during “Subaru Loves Pets” month. It was an incredibly successful day for us, and I hope them. With about two dozen dogs in attendance, and the event being shared on social media platforms both through the rescue and Subaru, there were over 50 Applications received from the event that day!! The success of that event directly resulted in 15 adoptions over the next two weeks. Events like the this one hosted by Subaru make such a huge impact on a small rescue like ours. Getting out into the community and having support is what gets our animals in their forever homes. We are so grateful for our Subaru partner and love everything you do for us and animals in need. Thank you!

Clementine was dropped off at the Lauderdale Shelter in Tennessee by her previous owners. Clem came in still with stitches in her ears from a hacked crop job that was done with the hope of making her tougher. She had been an outside dog who was encouraged to be aggressive and when she wasn't mean enough to be a guard dog, they turned her in to the shelter. She was underweight, about 39 lbs, and pregnant. Rescued Treasures immediately stepped up to foster her but it took a while to be able to find a transport for her. While she was at the shelter waiting for a couple of weeks, she did not gain any weight and instead was losing her fur. Clementine finally made it up north and her fosters met her in Binghamton to bring her home. She was skinny, had fleas, mange, worms, and was battling a skin infection. She still had the stitches in her ears and her tail was cut open. She was given some medications but the options were limited for her because of her pregnancy. Clementine's fur and skin on her tail continued to get worse until it all fell off. Clementine gave birth to 9 puppies on March 24, and she was an amazing mom to them. Her true loving and gentle personality really started to emerge. Once the puppies were weaned, she could finally get all the proper treatment for her ailments and put on the weight she was missing, she's now a healthy 55 lbs. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her ears or her tail and part of her tail had to be removed. Clementine suffered all this in just the first year of her life. After she was done being a mom, she was given the opportunity to get some independence and we all got to see what an amazing animal she was. She loved nothing more than to be with people all the time no matter what they were doing. She considers herself a lap dog who loves blankets. She hated being outside, especially in the rain, but she is an excellent squeaker hunter. After months of searching for the perfect fit for her, Clementine was adopted on October 12th by her new mom and they are best friends. She is now going to be able to live out the rest of her life snuggling in blankets with her favorite person just like she prefers. **Garber Chevrolet Subaru, our partner retailer hosted an adoption event for us. Rescued Treasures had 14 dogs that were able to be at the event, that event directly found 10 forever homes for our dogs within the next few weeks. We are so grateful to them for their generosity and caring in partnering with us to find these animals the homes they deserve.
